A before and after......

A friend of mine found this little piece while cleaning out her parents garage....

As you can see it was painted at some point and a crackle medium was used...I was concerned how much I would have to sand and prime to get rid of the crackle finish when repainting....Don't get me wrong --I love a good crackle -- but my friend wanted something a bit calmer...I sanded with a medium grit paper and then primed....I decided to use a flat finish to help reduce the crackle "show through"...

She loved the way it turned out!
