Annie Sloan Shelf Makeover....

With my furniture sale approaching I am on the hunt for different sizes and styles of  furniture pieces....
I picked this little shelf up at an auction....
She was a little rough...VERY ROUGH......
I did a bit of repair work
and decided to remove the back off the bottom shelf...too damaged to repair...
this left the bottom open for the perfect basket......

I sanded and decided because of the old red paint I wanted to prime this piece...
I had an idea in the back of my mind on how I wanted this piece to look....Like the one Shaunna from Perfectly Imperfect and Layla from The Lettered Cottage worked on in this post
http://theletteredcottage.net/annie-sloan-and-shaunna-west/  .
I LOVED their "after"......
and here is mine..

I used ASCP Duck Egg Blue and Old White and used a clear wax to bring out the colors....
Time to put a price tag on her!!
