I had so much fun playing with the cornstalks yesterday that I decided to try it again.....I picked some wild flowers early in the morning and placed them in a bucket of cold water while I picked out the best cornstalks left over from yesterday. If you have let your cornstalks lay in the grass it is best to let them dry out a bit before working with them as they will be much more sturdy and easier to work with. The easiest way to work the wildflowers in the design is to tie them together and place them in the middle of the stalks as you are arranging them and then secure them again to the stalks with florists wire....The flowers with color and different textures seem to work well together.
I love these together....the colors are so fall. Best of all-FREE!! Cornstalks and flowers.....awww living in the Midwest!
You can see my large oak tree in the reflection on my front door! |
