From Black to White

blacktable as i continue the journey of painting most of my furniture white…..it was this tables turn!
First….cover the areas in the GARAGE since we cannot paint outside in the Midwest with wind chill's in  negative numbers….ba humbug!!
Next  gather supplies….my fav’s..Purdy brushes, Rust-o-leum American Accents Heirloom White and Mini-Wax Polycrylic Protective Finish……..

I always go back to one of my ol’ favs…this guy has seen a few transformations!
After one coat…..
whitetable
3 coats of paint and first coat of finish…

Be sure if using polycrylic to stroke in one direction following the grain in the wood and do not over brush….after the first coat I sanded with a 220 grit sandpaper, dusted it off and applied 2 more coats of the finish… You should let the finish dry about 2 hours between coats…Then have fun sanding down the areas that would show normal wear….corners, legs……
the finished product……
