Annie Sloan Chalk Paint End Table Makeover

A great find.....day 2 of a garage sale....$1.00......that's right 4 quarters!!
It even surpassed
Gail's @ My Repurposed Life's
never spend more than $5.00 rule!

After cleaning her up a bit and sanding with a sanding block I noticed she was bit wobbly.....
Gorilla Glue to the rescue!
If you are looking for some inexpensive clamps...check out Harbor Freight..they have different sizes and are about 1/2 the cost of the one's I have seen at Lowes........
Next step.....Annie Sloan Chalk Paint....I used Old White....
I loved the way she turned out...

but I felt she need a bit of Pizazz...So I distressed with a light sandpaper and then decided to try a technique I had used on some chairs I repurposed....

I went to The Graphics Fairy ( http://graphicsfairy.blogspot.com) and printed a transfer to try with my new Chartpak Transfer Pen.......
2 pointers.....
1.  You have to print the transfer with a printer that uses toner
2.  Tape the transfer on the piece that you are transferring to to help keep the paper in place....
o.k. 3 pointers---I burnished (rubbed with a bit of force) with a spoon.......

Here is a video I found for you on You Tube on the process..

Voila!
