Here is where we were a couple days ago...Everything out of the room...the discoloration on the carpet is from a rug I had under the bed--stained the carpet in certain areas....not a good idea..must have made sense at the time when i put it there...Don't you love the closet doors...Straight out of the Brady Bunch parent's room.....
Finally......the carpet rolled up and the padding being removed...there is an IMPORTANT reason I am sharing this picture with you.......notice the dark color at the bottom of the picture..Yes--it is MOLD....I had mold in the entire pattern of where I spot cleaned my carpets every other week with Capture Carpet Cleaner....I even put fans on the spray mist once it was down EVERY time....I need to revisit that process for the rest of my carpet......

I have purchased the new flooring, brought it home and have it sitting in the house for a couple of days to get used to our room temperature until we install it….the manufacturer suggested this….
It is a hickory color—I like the different shades..

Okay…I’ll admit Santa is a BIT rough..but the auction table was down to $3.00 for any item…how could you leave a vintage Santa for $3.00?……can’t you see him sitting in a vintage box with old ornaments and a few brown paper wrapped gifts with great vintage Christmas ribbon on them?
This vintage egg collecting basket will be heading to Texas to my daughter-in-laws… along with the great mixing bowl and some vintage silverware from the 1800’s…..
The top long wooden box – I will either stain or paint white and fill with glass votive candle holders and sit in the middle of my dining room table…the bottom box was just too cool to leave behind….so that was our Thursday auction finds----now back to the bedroom project :)

It has been a LONG time coming –and I am so excited to get this party started! Here is the plan….
Here is what we have now…
The first step will be the the closet doors…I am working off Layla and Kevin’s bedroom closet door project from www.theletteredcottage.com actually I am going to try to “mirror” their entire room….
Once again look above at what I have now….and this is my goal for our doors…
Here are my doors—waiting to be installed painted and mirrored--
All four doors ready to go and hardware-already in the color I wanted oil-rubbed bronze- so no need to paint!!
Off to paint the doors—wish me luck—I’m gonna need it!
oh and by the way—Round Top Texas Antique Week the end of this month—I am GOING and will be posting pics and info on the trip! I am soo excited…will show you my list of wants for that trip!!
